US DOT to announce Minnesota recipients of grant funds from infrastructure bill Wednesday

Members of the United States Department of Transportation will be in the western Twin Cities metro area on Wednesday to announce new grant recipients.
The money comes from a $1 trillion infrastructure bill that was passed by Congress in 2021.
Wednesday’s announcement is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.

Although it isn’t clear what the grants will be used for, a news release issued by federal officials said the money would benefit the cities of Greenwood and Excelsior.
