Police: Man arrested after woman assaulted in Brooklyn Park, found dead in St. Paul

Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a woman’s death in St. Paul’s North End neighborhood.
Wednesday, Brooklyn Park police reported a 42-year-old man was arrested in St. Paul in connection with the "domestic-related homicide." He is currently in custody at the Brooklyn Park Jail.
St. Paul and Brooklyn Park police began jointly investigating the homicide after officers learned the woman found dead Sunday in St. Paul was assaulted the day before in Brooklyn Park.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for a home in Brooklyn Park. There, they said they found evidence leading them to believe the woman "had been assaulted by her domestic partner, which resulted in her death," the Brooklyn Park Police Department reported.
