The woman who died Thursday afternoon after a shooting in north Minneapolis has been publicly identified.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that 24-year-old Sharayah Nadae Monique Batchelor died from a gunshot wound to her chest.
Police found Batchelor at around 12:35 p.m. while responding to a report of a shooting in the 1200 block of Banneker Avenue North. She died at the scene.
Criminal charges state that she was shot after she got upset with 23-year-old Clifton Ingram for having marijuana on her table. Ingram then allegedly pulled out a revolver, shot her and ran away.
Ingram was arrested later that night and is now charged with second-degree intentional murder. He’s scheduled to make his first court appearance Monday afternoon.
