State Patrol: 87 crashes, 100 spinouts Thursday afternoon, evening

As wintry conditions made roads slick, dozens of vehicles crashed or spun out Thursday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, from 3-9:30 p.m., there were 87 crashes — 10 with injuries — as well as 105 spinouts and five jackknifed semi-trucks.

Earlier Thursday, snow caused multiple schools to close early. Troopers reported blowing slow and limited visibility.
