Celebration of life to be held Friday for Somerset football coach
Community members will be honoring the life and legacy of a longtime high school Somerset, Wisconsin football coach Friday night.
Bruce Larson died Sunday at the age of 58.

Larson worked as the school’s head coach since 1999, and won three state titles during his several state tournament appearances. He also was recognized as the Wisconsin Coach of the Year, and was honored by the NFL.
Friday’s celebration of life will be held at Somerset High School, and will include a visitation from 4-7 p.m., and will be followed by a short ceremony.
Area high schools will also be participating in a campaign called “Light up for Lars,” where they’ll turn on their stadium lights in Larson’s honor Friday night.
Larson’s funeral will happen at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church in Somerset.
