Ramsey man federally indicted for carjacking, gun possession
A Ramsey man has been indicted by a federal grand jury, prosecutors announced Tuesday.
Joshua Gunnar Olson, 31, was indicted for illegal gun possession and an armed carjacking that took place earlier this summer, prosecutors say.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Olson was armed with a Glock when he stole a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan from the vehicle’s owner in Champlin on June 4.
He was previously charged in Anoka County, but has now been indicted on federal charges of carjacking, gun possession by a felon and brandishing a gun during a violent crime.
Olson made his initial court appearance on the federal charges on Monday.
