More no-wake zones posted in Stearns County

Following last week’s heavy rain and continued high water conditions, Stearns County officials have posted additional no-wake zones.
Tuesday, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office reported a no-wake restriction is now in place within 300 feet of shore at the following lakes:
- Koronis
- Rice
- Brown
- Big Lake
- Grass Lake
- Clearwater Lake
- Augusta Lake
- Carolina Lake
- Lake Maria
- Lake Louisa
- Two Rivers
- Sauk River Chain of Lakes

The sheriff’s office reports current high water conditions plus unnecessary wakes can create the potential to damage shorelines, docks and lifts, and even residences.
Additionally, the sheriff’s office reminded boaters that all access parking rules are still in effect and parking is prohibited where there are signs to indicate restricted parking.
