Medical examiner identifies victim of fatal Central Minneapolis shooting

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a man who died in the hospital shortly after he was shot Thursday morning in Minneapolis.
The man was identified as 24-year-old Brenell Michael Green of St. Paul.
The medical examiner’s report lists a gunshot wound to the torso as Green’s cause of death.
As previously reported, Green was shot at around 9:20 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Groveland and Nicollet avenues.
Police have not described any suspects at this time.
