Man killed in Whittier neighborhood shooting identified

A man killed after a shooting last month in Minneapolis’ Whitter neighborhood has been identified by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Carlos Torrez Rangel, 48, was killed by multiple gunshot wounds, according to the medical examiner’s report.
Rangel died at Hennepin Healthcare at about 12:30 a.m. Aug. 3 after being shot just before 10:30 p.m. the previous night.
There have been no updates in the investigation.
