Man charged in Twin Cities carjacking, robbery spree takes plea deal
A St. Paul man facing more than a dozen criminal charges in connection to a 10-day crime spree across the Twin Cities area has accepted a plea agreement.
Court records show 18-year-old Kashawn Jason Wertman pleaded guilty Monday to three counts of aiding and abetting first-degree aggravated robbery and two counts of simple robbery, as part of the plea deal.

His alleged partner in the January crime spree, 19-year-old Nautica Alaja Argue, took a plea deal last month in which she pleaded guilty to three counts of aiding and abetting first-degree aggravated robbery, two counts of aiding and abetting second-degree aggravated robbery and one count of simple robbery.
Argue’s sentencing is set for July 5; Wertman’s is set for July 6.
