Twin Cities companies are coming together to give out free bikes to Minnesota’s essential workers.
It’s part of the same effort done each year to give out more than 7,000 free bikes to kids.
The idea here is to help families who may be struggling to pay for their transportation to their essential jobs right now.
The refurbished bikes will be given away Thursday by appointment only.
The appointments will be through rec centers and non-profits across Minneapolis and St. Paul.
