From the snow and cold to sunshine and warmth, a stray dog from Minneapolis has a new home on the west coast.
The dog, named “Tracker,” came into Minneapolis Animal Control’s shelter in June.
While he didn’t do well in the kennel, a foster family saw his potential and widened the search for his forever home.
Tracker eventually met his match — a hiker and outdoorsman who also volunteers for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office’s Search and Rescue Team — in California.
There are many other animals in the shelter currently searching for their forever home. Anyone interested in signing up to help can find more information here.
