KSTPKindness: Fergus Falls music teacher creates ‘Pomp and Circumstance’ YouTube video

A music teacher from Fergus Falls Public Schools decided the Class of 2020 needed some "Pomp and Circumstance" to celebrate their academic achievements.
Scott Kummrow runs two high school concert bands, jazz band, pep band, marching band, fifth-grade band and ALC music.
"It started as being a way for me to offer something for our virtual graduation that came from our department," Kummrow said. "One of the things we do at graduation is "Pomp and Circumstance." I decided I would record the parts myself and give to the people editing the virtual graduation."
But Kummrow said as he started preparing the YouTube video, he decided some more fun could be added to the equation.
"The first video I did was actually me playing tuba in the white t-shirt. I put something maroon and gold (school colors) on for the second photo and then the idea hit me that I could dress up for each part. In the conducting video, I’m wearing my robes from getting my Master’s degree," he said.

The project took two days of recording. Kummrow said it started to become grueling in the second day of production, as his face was not cooperating with all the changes, but said he "made it through."
"During the project, I also came up with the idea to put an individual message in for each of my seniors. Those felt a little too personal to share with the world, so I took that out for the YouTube post," he added.
