Community honors veteran with drive-by salute

It’s been an emotionally draining week for the community, but amid all the chaos one man is in the middle of his own fight.

Eighty-year-old Navy veteran Alan Warren Klepser is just trying to live his best life through his battle with cancer.

Through it all, his family and his community are making sure he knows he’s loved.

He’s also getting love from the Twin Cities military community, the fire department, police and people who wanted to thank him for his service.

Friday night, vehicle after vehicle drove by Klepser’s Apple Valley home, full sirens sounding and many people saluting.
