Sunny and Mild this Saint Patrick’s Day in the Twin Cities with Gusty Southwest Winds at 15 to 25 mph this afternoon and high temperatures in the low to mid 60s. Partly Cloudy this evening with some Sprinkles of Rain possible after 9 p.m. and lows by sunrise ( 7:19 a.m. ) Tuesday in the low 30s.
Sunshine Tuesday morning then Increasing Clouds in the afternoon with Sprinkles of Rain possible after 5 p.m. Highs on Tuesday will be near 50 Degrees with Northeast Winds at 10 to 15 mph. Sprinkles and Light Rain Showers at times Tuesday evening then Snow developing after 4 a.m. Wednesday and Snow could be Heavy during the Wednesday morning Rush Hour. Lows will be in the low 30s with Northeast Winds at 15 to 30 mph.
FORECAST FIRST ALERT WEDNESDAY FOR SNOW – Snow likely Wednesday morning that could greatly impact the Wednesday morning commute – it will also be Windy on Wednesday meaning White-Out Conditions possible all day Wednesday especially south and east of the Twin Cities. Snow Amounts will range from 1″ in the far northwest Twin Cities to +4″ in the southeast Twin Cities. Snow tapers to Flurries by 5 p.m. and the Snow will be heavy in weight to shovel due to high moisture content of Snow. Most likely Rush Hour Delays will be Wednesday morning but could continue in the evening because of Blowing Snow and Slush.
Spring officially begins on Thursday and the Sunshine returns with highs in the mid to upper 40s melting away the new Snowfall.
