Inaugural ‘Baseball Day Minnesota’ set for Saturday in Minnetonka
The inaugural “Baseball Day Minnesota” takes over Veterans Park at Minnetonka High School on Saturday, May 11th. The event includes three games between top-level teams, fun for kids and families and plenty of baseball-related activities throughout the day.

Following the popularity of “Hockey Day in Minnesota”, other sports are banding together to organize annual large-scale gatherings to celebrate their sports at the high school level.
Twenty high school lacrosse teams gathered earlier this spring for a “Lacrosse Day in Minnesota”-type event in White Bear Lake.
The goal is for “Baseball Day” to grow into an annual event which, like “Hockey Day”, visits different locations across the state each spring.
Prep Baseball Minnesota is organizing the event with heavy support from the Minnesota Twins and St. Paul Saints through the Twins Community Fund.
Lake Conference rivals Minnetonka and #1 Wayzata play in “Baseball Day’s” opener at 10:00 a.m., followed by a 2:00 p.m. start for #3 Stillwater and Woodbury, then Cretin-Derham Hall and defending state champ #5 East Ridge in the night game.
