Black Pepper Shrimp
Yield: Serves 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
1 lb large shrimp (size 16-20 or 12-15) or tiger prawns, peeled & deveined
4 T. butter
3 cloves garlic
2 tsp coarsely cracked black peppercorns
1 T oyster sauce
2 T rice wine vinegar
2 tsp sugar
½ tsp salt
2 T. chopped green onions
Preparation:
- Heat a skillet or wok over medium heat. Melt the butter and saute the garlic and black pepper until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp or prawns and saute, stirring occasionally, until almost cooked through.
- Add the oyster sauce, wine and sugar. Stir fry until the shrimp are cooked through and sauce is hot.
- Top with chopped green onions.
