Fitness expert Nickie Carrigan shares some exercises that will get your body relaxed and feeling food on these cold winter days.
- Jumping Jacks.
In life we tend to move mostly in our sagittal plane. JJs give us a chance to move laterally in a controlled setting, so we can keep our bodies fit on multiple planes of movement.2. Upper trap stretch.
Our cold bodies like to protect themselves by closing in, and shoulders lift upward.3. Static Back with ankle circles & point flexes.
This exercise promotes proper lower leg function, while stabilizing the hips and resting the entire back.4. Side Bend Goddess Pose. This is a hip opening stretch that will also open up the side body.
