Suspects charged in connection to Edina hospital ramp shooting
The two suspects that were arrested in connection to a shooting that happened at an Edina hospital parking ramp earlier this month have been charged.
According to court records, 33-year-old Matthew Rush faces one count of attempted second-degree murder, one count of first-degree aggravated robbery and one count of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. Lucinda Ann Peterson, 50, faces one count of first-degree aggravated robbery and two counts of aiding an offender.
2 suspects arrested in connection with hospital parking ramp shooting in Edina
Just before 9 p.m. on Sept. 14, Edina police responded to reports of a shooting on the second floor of the M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital parking ramp. Officers found a 45-year-old man who had allegedly been shot in the head during an attempted robbery.
The shooting suspect fled the scene, and the man was treated at the hospital and released.
Police said they found the suspect vehicle Sunday and were able to arrest Rush and Peterson.
