2 suspects arrested in connection with hospital parking ramp shooting in Edina

Two people have been arrested in connection with a shooting earlier this month at a hospital parking ramp in Edina.

Just before 9 p.m. on Sept. 14, Edina police responded to reports of a shooting on the second floor of the M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital parking ramp. Officers found a 45-year-old man who had allegedly been shot in the head during an attempted robbery.

The shooting suspect fled the scene, and the man was treated at the hospital and released.

Police say they found a vehicle suspected to be involved in the shooting Sunday and then arrested two people at a hotel in Bloomington.

Matthew Thomas Rush, 33, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder, and Lucinda Ann Peterson, 50, was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting. They are being held at the Hennepin County Jail pending formal charges.
