Wolves to open season at home for 3rd straight year, host OKC
The Minnesota Timberwolves will open the upcoming season at Target Center, the third consecutive season the team will start the season at home.
Minnesota’s schedule starts with an Oct. 19 matchup with Oklahoma City coming to town. After that, Minnesota will host the Utah Jazz on Oct. 21 before heading to Oklahoma City for its first road game on Oct. 23.
The Timberwolves will play five of their first six games at home. They also finish the regular season at home against New Orleans on April 9.
Other schedule highlights include the NBA champion Golden State Warriors coming to town on Nov. 27, a visit from the Lakers on Feb. 1 and a return to Memphis on No. 11 for the first time since the first round of last season’s NBA playoffs. Memphis will return to Target Center for the first time on Nov. 30.
The 2022-23 NBA schedule features 16 nationally televised games for the Timberwolves, including six on ESPN, six on NBATV and four on TNT.
The Timberwolves will also play 14 back-to-backs.
