Dumba helped found the Hockey Diversity Alliance during the NHL’s pause for the pandemic. The organization’s mission is to "eradicate racism and intolerance in hockey."
He also gave a vibrant speech about racism in hockey prior to the re-start of the National Hockey League season in August, 2020.
Dumba and the HDA sponsored a "Hockey without Limits" camp for minority and underpriveleged kids in the Twin Cities back in February, and plans to do much more in a grassroots outreach to the community in the future.
The players spoke from Arizona ahead of Wednesday night’s game against the Coyotes.
