Evason first said center Nick Bjugstad will not play against Colorado, while Parise and Mats Zuccarello will return to the ice, he also said Cam Talbot will get the start in net, Evason also spoke about what he would like to see in Parise and Zuccarello, why he didn’t like their first period against Colorado in the previous game, how important it will be to play well against Colorado, how fans being back felt to the team, what fresh legs being to a team at the stage of the season, and what he sees in Kirill Kaprizov’s game.
Parise discussed how it feels to be back in the lineup, what he did while he was in COVID protocol, how many skate sessions he was able to get in while away, how frustrating the season has been for him, how he is handling dwindling playing time, if he yearns to show he is still a good hockey player, if he feels like the timing of the COVID protocol was frustrating, if he thinks it will be tough to get back to playing well, if he was shocked by his positive COVID test, and how much fun it was to have fans back at the Xcel Energy Center.
