Vikings waive cornerback Bashaud Breeland
The Minnesota Vikings announced they waived cornerback Bashaud Breeland Saturday afternoon. Breeland started 13 games for Minnesota this season.
Breeland, 29, signed a one-year, $4 million deal free agent contract with the Vikings in June. He had two interceptions during the season including one against Pittsburgh in their last game.
Breeland’s initial response on Twitter was one word – "Wow".

A source told ESPN Breeland was cut after a verbal altercation with coaches and teammates on Saturday. The NFL Network was first to report the altercation.
ESPN’s report says Breeland first argued with a coach during a film session, which reignited when he was later asked to come out of a practice session that involved the starting defense. Breeland left the practice field, went to the locker room, later re-appearing on the practice field where another argument with teammates and coaches had to eventually be settled by general manager Rick Spielman.
