Friday, the organization announced Pete Maki will take over as pitching coach while Colby Suggs will be the bullpen coach.
Maki, 39, started the years as the bullpen coach for the third season. He joined the organization as a minor league pitching coordinator in 2018, then became the interim bullpen coach in 2020 when Bob McClure was sidelined due to health concerns amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before joining the Twins, Maki was an assistant coach for the University of New Haven (2006-07), assistant pitching coach at Columbia University (2008-15) and the pitching coach at Duke University (2015-17).
Suggs, 30, has held several roles since joining the organization in 2019. After starting as an advance scout, he was the run prevention coordinator from 2021-22.
Previously, he worked as a bullpen coach at the University of Arkansas in 2018 and coached at private facilities from 2016-17.
