From unranked to unbeaten: Rosemount football team ready for 6A Prep Bowl

After a 5-5 record in 2021, Rosemount high school football wasn’t expected to be a powerhouse in August. But following early season wins over Lakeville North, Eden Prairie, and Lakeville South, the Irish had established themselves.
Rosemount has won every game this year and will match-up vs. fellow unbeaten Maple Grove in the 6A Prep Bowl Friday night at U.S. Bank Stadium at 7 p.m. 45TV will televise the game.
KSTP Sports attended a Rosemount practice this week and spoke with coach Jeff Erdmann and players Kade Gilbertson and Will Priest.

Rosemount’s defense has been phenomenal this year, allowing just an average of 6.9 points per game.
