Q&A: Mahtomedi HS alum Parker Fox on Gophers’ interest

New Gophers coach Ben Johnson has been very active in his first 48 hours on the job.
Among recruits he has called is former Mahtomedi high school forward Parker Fox. He’s transferring after a great run at D-II Northern State.

Fox led Northern State this year in several categories, including points per game (22.3), rebounds per game (9.9), blocks (74), steals (37), and field goals (190). He was a two-time defensive player of the year in the Northern Sun Conference.
KSTP Sports has learned that Johnson has also reached out to Minnehaha Academy’s Chet Holmgren, George Washington transfer Jamison Battle (DeLaSalle HS), Ish El-Amin (Hopkins HS), and Race Thompson (Armstrong HS).
