Lynx activate McBride, release Turner

The Minnesota Lynx have activated a guard and released another.

Early Monday afternoon, the team announced it had activated Kayla McBride after she returned to the state. She had played with the Turkish team Fenerbahce during the winter.

Last year — her first in Minnesota and eighth in the WNBA — she started all 32 games and averaged 13.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists in more than 31 minutes of play per game.

In a corresponding move, the Lynx released Yvonne Turner from her hardship contract, which was announced last week.

McBride will be available to play during Tuesday’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks, which will be shown on Bally Sports North Extra at 9:30 p.m. CT.
