Ibrahim a semifinalist for Comeback Player of the Year Award
University of Minnesota standout running back Mohamed Ibrahim has been named a semifinalist for the 2022 Comeback Player of the Year Award.
The award is given each year by the College Sports Communicators, which works with The Associated Press and the Fiesta Bowl Organization.
Ibrahim suffered a season-ending injury in the first game of the 2021 season but returned this year and has put up stellar numbers, tallying 304 carries for 1,594 yards and 19 touchdowns. He was named First Team All-Big Ten on Wednesday, and Pro Football Focus has Ibrahim as the nation’s leader in yards after contact with 1,065.
