Gophers shut out Michigan again to complete weekend sweep

Gophers goalie Liam Souliere stopped all 22 shots he faced as Minnesota beat Michigan 2-0 Saturday night in Minneapolis. It is the first time since 1943 that the Gophers have posted back-to-back shutouts against the Wolverines.

Sam Rinzel scored a power-play goal in the first period and Jimmy Snuggerud added an empty-netter late in the 3rd period.

The Gophers host Michigan State next weekend.
