Gophers move up Cal game to replace BYU on 2025 schedule

The University of Minnesota football team announced an adjustment to its future schedule on Friday.

The team moved up its road game at the University of California, Berkeley to replace a canceled game at Brigham Young University in 2025.

Minnesota was set to host BYU in 2020 and play at BYU on Sept. 20, 2025. The 2020 game was canceled due to COVID-19 and the road game against BYU in 2025 is also now canceled.

To take the place of the BYU game in 2025, the Gophers will now play at Cal on Sept. 13, 2025. Minnesota still will host Cal on Sept. 16, 2028.
