Gophers gymnastics selected for Oklahoma regional

The University of Minnesota gymnastics team has been selected to compete in the Norman, Oklahoma Regional, the NCAA announced Tuesday.

The Gophers, ranked No. 8 in the nation, will compete in the regional between March 30 and April 2.

Also in that regional is No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 9 California, No. 16 Arizona State, Boise State, Utah State, Arkansas, West Virginia and Arizona.

Minnesota will first compete on March 31 against California, Boise State and Utah State, with the other teams in a separate session. The top two teams from each session advance to the regional final on April 2, and the top two teams from the final advance to the NCAA Championships, which will be held in Fort Worth, Texas, April 14-16.
