Gophers forward Battle has surgery, considered week-to-week

The University of Minnesota men’s basketball team may be without one of its top players when the season begins.
The program announced that junior forward Jamison Battle had foot surgery on Friday and is considered week-to-week.

According to the Gophers, the surgery was a minor procedure and was successful.
Minnesota starts its season with an exhibition contest against St. Olaf on Nov. 2 before officially opening the season on Nov. 7 against Western Michigan.
