Freshmen lead Gophers to 3-2 win at Ohio State
Freshmen Chaz Lucius, Tristan Broz and Aaron Huglen all scored goals for the Gophers men’s hockey team in their 3-2 win over Ohio State Friday night in Columbus, Ohio.
The trio of newcomers tallied seven of the team’s nine points in the win. It was only Ohio State’s second loss in their 16 games.
Justen Close made a career-high 32 saves for Minnesota to improve to 6-3-0 this season.
The 7th-ranked Gophers go for the series sweep of the 8th-ranked Buckeyes on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. at Value City Arena.
