Gophers coach Johnson previews Saturday’s home game vs. Nebraska

For the first time since Dec. 22, the Gophers men’s basketball team will play at Williams Arena on Saturday at 11 a.m. At 0-3 in the Big Ten, the Gophers hope to top Nebraska (1-3 Big Ten) to secure their first conference victory.
KSTP Sports spoke with coach Ben Johnson on Friday after practice. The Gophers hosted a number of former players, including Willie Burton and Eric Curry. Many more former players will be at Saturday’s game for Alumni Day.

Minnesota is coming off a 63-60 loss Tuesday at No. 14 Wisconsin, a game that saw them turn the ball over 20 times. Ta’Lon Cooper led the Gophers with 16 points.
Johnson addressed the turnovers on Friday, in addition to the positivity rebounding, Dawson Garcia’s struggles from 3-point range, and hosting alumni this weekend.
