Victim identified in Minneapolis homicide

The victim who died from what appeared to be "an act of violence" has been identified on Thursday as 30-year-old Ryan Abraham Whiteis-Saks.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner, Whiteis-Saks died of a gunshot wound to the head. The manner of death is homicide.

Police open death investigation in north Minneapolis

On Feb. 28, at around 8:30 p.m., the Minneapolis Police Department officers were called to the 2400 block of Golden Valley Road on a report of a person who had stopped breathing.

Police found Whiteis-Saks’ body at the scene. Evidence indicated that violence was a factor in his death.

The incident remains under investigation. There are no further details at this time.
