Pedestrians injured after being hit by vehicle in Bloomington

Police say two pedestrians were injured in Bloomington after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday night.

The Bloomington Police Department says the collision happened around 8:17 p.m. at the intersection of American Boulevard and Xerxes Avenue.

An investigation found the two were crossing an intersection when they were struck by an eastbound vehicle.

Both the pedestrians, identified as a woman and a boy, were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with serious injuries.
