Wisconsin man charged with child pornography

The U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota, Andrew Luger, announced a federal indictment against a Superior, Wisconsin man for “producing images depicting his sexual abuse of a minor.”

Court documents state that 48-year-old George Francis Deppa coerced a 15-year-old “to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of such conduct.”

The incident took place in May 2008, and authorities believe there could be more victims of the alleged illegal contact.

Deppa is federally charged with three counts of production of child pornography and faces additional related charges in St. Louis County, Minn. and Douglas County, Wis.
