1 killed, 1 flown to hospital following St. Croix County crash
Authorities say one of the two Spring Valley men who were in a crash late Sunday night in St. Croix County has died.
According to the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the area of State Highway 29 and U.S. Highway 128 in Cady Township shortly after 10:30 p.m. for a report of a crash.
When they arrived, they found a westbound 2013 Chevy Impala had left the road near Highway 128 and rolled over.
In addition, deputies said the driver, identified as 55-year-old Timothy Boardman, had been ejected and trapped under the vehicle. He died at the scene.
Meanwhile, a 51-year-old passenger, identified as Robert Boardman, was extricated and then flown to Mayo Hospital in Menominee. His condition hasn’t been released as of this publishing.
Authorities add Timothy wasn’t wearing a seat belt but Robert was.
Boardman’s death is the first traffic fatality in St. Croix County this year.
