Warmer for the weekend!
The cold weather that arrived before Thanksgiving in the Twin Cities will take a break this weekend as warmer conditions with temperatures in the 40s expected this weekend before it gets colder again Tuesday through next Thursday. However, it looks like that will be followed by mild conditions the following weekend (December 14/15).
Partly cloudy today with west winds at 5-15 mph and highs in the upper 20s to near 30 degrees. Partly cloudy tonight with patchy fog and lows in the mid to upper 20s with southwest winds at 5-10 mph.
Patchy fog Saturday morning otherwise partly cloudy, breezy and warmer with highs in the low to mid 40s during the afternoon with west-southwest winds at 10-15 mph then partly cloudy Saturday night with lows near 30 degrees.
Patchy fog and some sunshine Sunday morning then cloudy in the afternoon with patchy fog, drizzle and light rain along with highs in the low 40s and lows in the low 30s by Monday morning.
Patchy fog and drizzle Monday morning then light rain mixed with light snow changing to all light snow Monday evening with 1″ or less snow accumulations. Highs Monday in the mid 30s then windy and colder Monday night with gusty northwest winds and lows near 20 degrees by Tuesday morning. JONATHAN YUHAS
