Woman hit, killed by car in Sherburne County; driver arrested

A woman was hit and killed by a car in Sherburne County Monday.
According to a release from the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, 69-year-old Catherine Lynn was walking with another individual on the north shoulder of Sherburne County Road 2 in the 10600 block on Monday afternoon. A vehicle traveling in the same direction crossed the center line and struck Lynn at 4:34 p.m.
Lynn was pronounced dead at the scene but the individual walking with her did not suffer any physical injuries.
The driver of the car was identified as 55-year-old Thomas W. Jones of Princeton. Jones was arrested and booked into Sherburne County Jail for the investigation of criminal vehicular homicide.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
