I-494 southbound in Woodbury to close from June 3-6

All southbound lanes of Interstate 494 from Interstate 94 to Lake Road are expected to close from 9 p.m. Friday, June 3 to 5 a.m. Monday, June 6.

Drivers will be re-routed using I-94 to Highway 61 to get around the closure.

During the week, I-494 southbound shifts down to one lane from Tamarack Road to Lake Road from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. due to pavement repairs.

From 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. traffic then opens up to two lanes.

Crews have already been working in this area, having implemented closures earlier this week.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, all work is expected to be completed by Wednesday, June 15.
