Fatal crash involving FedEx truck in Dakota County under investigation

Authorities are investigating a fatal head-on crash crash involving a FedEx tractor-trailer Tuesday afternoon in rural Dakota County.
A Facebook post from the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office states the crash happened at 2:35 p.m. on Foliage Avenue north of 307th Street West in Greenvale Township.
Video captured by Chopper 5 shows a two-trailer FedEx semitruck partially in a ditch with damage to the front end of the cab as an SUV sits upright on the other side of the road with severe front-end damage and all of its airbags deployed.
No information was immediately available regarding any other injuries or fatalities that may have resulted from the collision.
FedEx shared a comment with 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS stating, “Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends who are mourning their loved one lost in this accident. We are cooperating fully with investigating authorities.”
