Woman struck by vehicle after stumbling onto road, taken to hospital

A pedestrian stumbled out into traffic and was struck by a car Friday night, according to the Minneapolis Police Department. 

According to police, at 10:05 p.m., at Broadway and Lyndale avenues, officers responded to a report of a person hit by a car. 

When officers arrived, they found out that a woman had stumbled out into traffic and was struck by a vehicle on Broadway Avenue.

The driver stopped and the woman was transported to North Memorial Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The preliminary investigation stated that the pedestrian was exceptionally intoxicated and walked onto the roadway.
