Officials say a woman is in stable condition Wednesday morning following a late night fire in Minneapolis.
According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, crews were called to the Stone Arch Apartments on the 500 block of Second Street SE just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
When they arrived, tenants said a woman living on the sixth floor was trying to put a fire out in her apartment.
Crews found heavy smoke, as well as a woman who had burned her hand and a stove fire that appeared to be out.
Officials say the woman was taken to HCMC after she was given emergency medical care, and will be evaluated and treated for the burns to her hands.
No one else was reported injured during the fire, which only caused damage to one unit. Fire officials say that apartment is now uninhabitable.
The Red Cross is assisting one person.
All other residents were allowed to return to their apartments.
Crews are still looking into what caused the fire.
