Fire officials say a woman has been displaced after a fire damaged her Plymouth home.
According to the Plymouth Fire Department, the fire broke out around 10:50 p.m. Wednesday at a home along West Medicine Lake Drive.
The woman and her dog were able to make it out safely.
Fire officials say the home was extremely close to others on both sides, and crews had to make sure the fire’s spread was limited.
“For all intents and purposes, this is lake front property, so both houses on either side are pretty close to it,” said Plymouth Fire Chief Rodger Coppa. “So one of our biggest priorities is just making sure that we’re protecting those other houses on either side.”
The cause of the fire is unknown as of this time.
