Woman arrested in fatal 3-vehicle Maple Grove crash

A woman is dead and two others are injured after a three-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Maple Grove.

According to the Maple Grove Police Department, emergency personnel responded to a crash on the 15500 block of County Road 81, near Ranchview Lane North.

A 67-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A 31-year-old man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, and a 21-year-old woman also suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The 21-year-old driver was later arrested on suspicion of criminal vehicular operation. She has not been formally charged.

Police will determine the factors that led to the crash during their investigation.
