Wisconsin woman found shot, dead; investigation ongoing

A Wisconsin woman was found dead early Friday morning, according to the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said deputies responded to a home on Hungry Lake Lane in Sand Lake at 12:26 a.m. When authorities arrived, they found the woman’s body, which had multiple gunshot wounds.
The woman was later identified as 42-year-old Cary Lynne Elkin, of Stone Lake.
