For the first time since 2010 and five weeks after the last jackpot was last won, a Minnesota store has sold a winning Mega Millions ticket.
According to Mega Millions, the prize is estimated to be $110 million, or $66 million in cash.
While the ticket sold in Minnesota matched all six numbers, four tickets sold in other parts of the country matched all five white balls. Two were sold in New Jersey and one ticket each in Florida and Maryland.
According to gaming leaders, one of the winning New Jersey tickets included the optional Megaplier, giving that winner $2 million. The other ticket in New Jersey, as well as the ones in Maryland and Florida, are each worth $1 million.
At 9 a.m. Wednesday, Minnesota Lottery officials said the ticket was sold at the Holiday Stationshotre located at 14350 Xkimo Street in Ramsey.
The store will receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
If you missed the drawing, the winning numbers are:
- White Balls: 2, 8, 14, 20 and 31
- Gold Mega Ball: 17
As of 1 p.m. Wednesday, lottery officials said the winner hadn’t stepped forward, adding if the winner chooses to not go public with the winnings, their name and city won’t be released.
As of September 1 of last year, the names and residences of Minnesota residents who win more than $10,000 are considered private.
The new jackpot is estimated to be $20 million, with a cash option of $12.1 million. The next drawing is scheduled for 10 p.m. on Friday.
