Visitation services Thursday for 2 killed in northern Minn. plane crash

Friends and family members of two people killed in a northern Minnesota plane crash over the weekend are gathering Thursday for visitation services.

Siblings Matthew and Alyssa Schmidt died when the plane they were in crashed into a Hermantown home.

Visitation services will be held at the Church of the Risen Savior in Burnsville.

Funeral services are set to take place Friday.

The pilot of the plane, Tyler Fretland, was also killed in the crash. His funeral will be held next week in Williston, North Dakota.

The National Transportation Safety Board is continuing to investigate what may have caused the crash.
